Iris Productions is pleased to announce that the shooting of The Survivors, directed by Luc Jabon, is now in Post Production.
Luc Jabons makes his directorial debut in The Survivors. He is a well-known Belgian scriptwriter who has received and been nominated for numerous awards. Awards include: the Giffoni Festival in 1994, and Public Award at the Rencontres Cinématographiques in Cannes for Marie directed by Marian Handwerker; and for Le Maître deMusique , directed by Gérard Corbiau he received several awards at the Pariss Festival along with a nomination for the 1989 Oscars for the Best Film in a Foreign Language.
The Survivors stars Fabrizio Rongione as Nicolas. Fabrizio Rengioni made is debut in Rosetta feature produced by the Dardenne brothers; and most recently received the Magritte for Best Actor for his performance in Deux jours, uneNuit, also produced by the Dardenne brothers.
The role Nadia is played by Erika Sainte, a Belgian actress who received the Magritte of the Meilleur Espoir Féminin in 2012 for Elle ne pleure pas, elle chante.
The cast is completed by several Luxembourgian actors, including: Brice Montagne, Fabio Godinho, Philippe Meyrer, Joel Delsaut.
The behind-the-scenes the creative team includes the director of photography, Alain Marcoen, who most recently worked on Abus de Faiblesse, directed by Catherine Breillat, and produced by the Dardenne brothers and co-produced by Iris Productions. And Iris is also pleased to welcome on board numerous Luxembourgian technicians, including Marc Thill (sound), Audrey Hernu (design), Magdalena Labuz (costumes), Katja Alexis (make-up), Laurent Wallerang (grip), Tanguy Delhez (light), Carlo Thiel (camera), Barbara Prati (props), Thanos Goltsos (locations), Ricardo Vaz Palma (still photographer), France Duez (editing), and Bénédicte Hermesse as production manager.
The Survivors is produced by Iris Productions SA (Luxembourg) and Iris Films (Belgiumi). The film has received the financial support of the Film Fund Luxembourg, Federation Wallonie Bruxelles, Wallimage/Bruxellimage, RTBF, BeTV and the Belgian Tax Shelter.
