LOS REYES DEL MUNDO (THE KINGS OF THE WORLD), a co-production directed by Laura Mora, has been officially selected for the 70th San Sebastián International Film Festival.
Los Reyes del Mundo (2022) is about five street children from Medellín who embark on a journey to the Colombian Bajo Cauca to claim a piece of land that one of them has inherited. On their odyssey to the land where they can finally be free, they will confront violence and discover beauty. They will celebrate life and friendship, but they will not be able to escape the fate the world has in store for them.
This is the second feature film by Laura Mora (Medellín, 1981). The Colombian director has already won, among other distinctions, a special mention at the Kutxabank-New Directors Award and the Youth Award with Matar a Jesús (2017).
